Colin Harper
Colin's musical training began at the London College of Music
under the Directorship of Dr. William Lloyd Webber. He graduated
in 1984, having studied piano, singing, organ and percussion.
Over the periods of 1984 to
1987 and 1990 to 1993, Colin was Headteacher at three Music Schools
in Iceland. Whilst in this post, Colin also became the Parish
Organist. Due to these postings, he is fluent in Icelandic.
Colin has gained further teaching
experience in Scotland and England, introducing the finer points
of music to all age groups right up to University level. If you
need lessons to improve your piano, music theory or singing,
Colin is the man to contact, as he teaches these subjects privately.
He has performed music professionally
in London at the Royal Festival Hall, Central Hall Westminster,
and various churches around the country in Glasgow, Liverpool,
Sheffield, Coventry and also several locations in Iceland.
He is married and lives with
his wife, Sharon, in Penn with their two young children. He is
fully qualified practitioner in Reflexology being a Member of
the British Reflexology Association.
His interests include walking,
cooking, playing squash and travelling. He is a member of Menza.
Colin became organist and choirmaster
at St Chad's Church, Pattingham on Sunday 14th January 2007.
